A Disney Day

Sarah here! I have to say that our first Disneyland Paris trip was very fun. We were on the train heading to Disney by 9:50 and arrived at our destination a little after 10:35. After checking in we headed over to Space Mountain, where unfortunately the height minimum was more than the height minimum in the US. So sadly Elizabeth was not tall enough to go on. We skipped Space Mountain and headed over to Star Tours. The wait time was 45 minutes! Next we headed over to the  train that takes you all around the park, closed. We decided to test our luck in Hollywood Studios. It was really beautiful! We walked past Tower of Terror and saw that its wait time was only 15 minutes. Even though Elizabeth didn’t want to go on, we convinced her in the end. She loved it!

We can’t even control our fear!

Then it was Rockin’ Roller Coaster, and burgers for lunch. We headed back over to the Disneyland Park and right to the Phantom Manor or the Haunted Mansion. The funny thing is that the stories that are before the ride were all in French so it was kind of hard to be scared. We were hoping to ride on Big Thunder Mountain, but it had just broken down. So we headed over to the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.  All of the rides were great but I especially liked Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. That was the only ride that I went on twice, once with Dad once with Mom. It was a fast, stomach lurching ride, just the way I like them. I also loved the Magic on Parade. It was dark by then and the lights from all the floats, lit up the streets. It was truly a magical day!

Sounds like you all had a great time. Glad that Elizabeth enjoyed the Tower of Terror. We like the pictures from Disney, too. Enjoy your Sunday, too. I’m sure you are looking forward a new week and new adventures. We love hearing from you. Maybe we can Skype on Monday.

    Love, Grandpa H.

Thanks Sarah! That was just great reporting. And Elizabeth, you go girl! I did the Tower of Terror once because your grandparents said I would like it. They were WRONG, but I love Disney! Loved the picture of you “almost scared ” people! Enjoy everyday of your adventure.
