Go Tell it on the Mountain!

Today was the Christmas pageant at the Cathedral and all three kids played a role.  The church has been an unexpected surprise of our adventure to Paris, one that has connected all of us to many new friends and given us many new experiences.  Like the Christmas pageant.  Besides singing in the choir, Elizabeth was one of the narrators and Julian was the very rude Innkeeper #1.  We tried to get him to send Mary and Joseph on their way by saying, “Adios, muchachos!” but he did not.  Probably best.

Last week Sarah was invited to sing a solo with the adult choir and we were happy that they asked her to sing her portion again today (this time the sound was ‘on’ on the camera).

So here are some snapshots of the morning.  I got many requests for copies of photos, mostly because I was the annoying one flitting around during rehearsals snapping lots of photos.  Enjoy.  (My favorite is the picture of Mary but don’t tell Sarah, Elizabeth and Julian.)

What a spectacular pageant!!!!! What a wonderful experience for all who were there to appreciate. The kids will never forget this event and the pictures are beyond special. No wonder others want photos. I will look at them over again several times during the next few weeks. The producers of this show must have “real” jobs in productions. And I’m so glad that you had the sound on for Sarah’s special number. Hugs to all.

  2. Anyone smoking cigars in the bathroom during rehearsal? Sorry, reading “The Best Christmas Pagent Ever” to the kids…

Good to talk to you a few minutes ago. Loved all the photos. Sarah looks so grown up and I’m looking forward to “hearing” her sing. The pageant certainly had a lot of wonderful cast members…..loved the pig! 🙂 So great that everyone is having a wonderful church experience.

Great photos! Thank you for sharing them. So impressive that all your kids were in the pageant and that Sarah had a solo! What a great experience.

Love the costumes! Julian’s is excellent. Way to go, Sarah on your solo- so cool.
