An unexpectedly quiet Saturday

Elizabeth and I should be on our way to the airport right now.

Tom should be making up the beds.

Julian should be buying bread at the bakery.

Sarah should be doing what all teenagers do Saturday mornings.  (Oh, wait.  That is what she is doing.)

And my sister and her family should be landing in Paris any minute.

But illness doesn’t schedule around vacations so we’ll send prayers and good vibes to Chris for a full recovery in hopes that we will see them in June.

In the meantime, we will enjoy Paris this week and travel to Barcelona by ourselves in a few days.  It will be enjoyable, I’m sure.  Just not what we had hoped.

I didn’t know how much I missed her until I knew I wasn’t going to see her.

    HI Kelley,

Sorry to hear about your disappointment. At least they willl be visiting in June. Recently, I reread sections of a book called God Never Blinks. It is 50 lessons a woman learned from being a cancer survivor. It is filled with funny, sad, and inspirational stories. Have a lovely time in Barcelona.

I know everyone was disappointed. Now you can look forward to June. Stay well and safe!

All day I have been trying to come up with positive things about not being in Paris, but I really couldn’t think of any. Except, all the goodies I planned to bring you will just have to be eaten here. Sorry.

Sure hope your families regroup in June. Better weather, better travels, better memories maybe.

Can’t wait to hear your recap on Barcelona. We will be there in June for 3 days before we get on the Disney Magic for the Med. Cruise.

We love hearing from you! Give us a shout or a "like" if this post made you smile.
